  • Dreams are jerks: Part 2

Toward the end of the semester, I would take my finals and graduate the next day. Huzzzah!

I was kinda worried about my grades. I was not the best student in any class outside of studio art*, but I was used to dealing with this already. *ahem*

But wait! I just remembered…I had math, science and two other classes from the beginning of the semester that I forgot all about within the first week. I only went to two of my classes, and not surprisingly, they were both studio art classes. (I guess the other four were such nightmares that I subconsciously chose to erase them from my mind.) I didn’t even want to look at my grades now. And what would I tell my mom and dad who expected me to be finished with college by tomorrow?

Then, you guessed it, I woke up. Dreams are such jerks. This isn’t the first time where I dreamt that I forgot I had 2-4 other classes by the end of the semester. щ(ಥДಥщ)

*When you have ADHD and a weakness in any academic subject that’s not the liberal arts fields, it’s hard to stay motivated. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. ಠ_ಠ (Although I did find science really fascinating, but the rest of the class’s learning speed was faster than mine.)

And by “studio art”, I mean painting, sculpting, drawing, photography, computer art, etc.

  • Dream: Back to School!

I had one of these dreams, where my old college was combined with my old middle school and the local high school. (I seem to have a lot of these…)

And since I didn’t actually have to switch schools when migrating to college (either I went to high school here or I skipped it entirely somehow), I managed to keep my old locker. And was one of the few college students here who had a locker. >:D I used it store my books and other stuff.

(Although several times, I forgot I even had it, so when I couldn’t find my book because it was in said locker, I panicked and bought another book, when…yeah.)

One day, I was late for math. I couldn’t find my book, and asked Mr. Giantpaper if he knew where it was. He went to see if I left it in me car, and went to check my locker. And since I was late, I had trouble opening the lock (as in, I remembered the combination, but kept missing the second number and had to start over about two or three times). Eventually, I got fed up and just spun it around all crazy like, angrily, until it opened on its own. Surprised, I opened the door and checked the contents to make sure this was indeed my locker. Yup, it had all my Spanish books from the previous semester (two of them were the same exact one written by my teacher and the third had a holographic cover that was written by Shigeru Miyamoto).

I didn’t find my math book, so I went to the parking lot by the nearby park to see if it was in my car. I saw my float I made for the upcoming Christmas parade that was starting soon. It was a cheap one, with an oversized cardboard ornament shaped like a Christmas tree propped onto it, covered with lights. I got inside and drove it to the school entrance, when I changed my mind, thinking ‘nah, this is stupid’, and drove it back to the parking lot.

    The end.

  • More of those college dreams…

My more recent college dreams seem to portray me as a graduate. :O Like this one where I was visiting a college campus and found this one class being taught by my fifth grade history/Language Arts teacher. :O And another class (science, I think) being taught by my grandma. o.o I ran out when my grandma saw me, since I didn’t want her to think I was skipping school (even though she knows very well IRL that I already graduated).

Then there was this other part where I was with some relatives in Channel Islands’ new library while it was under construction. Some of the rails were missing and (railless) walkways were falling apart, but despite that, it was open to the public! 😀

  • Dream: Graduation Prep Stress

And the college graduation dreams continue. :O

Only this one was a bit more stressful than the rest. XD The entire dream was about me trying to find my cap and gown, since Commencement was supposed to start in about an hour. Apparently, the students have lockers in a warehouse in this dream, so I went over to see if I could find my stuff in my locker. Nothing there. Then L’s friend’s mom said I might be able to find it at her house (which was also combined with some kind of wild animal exhibit and a food storage/warehouse area for a grocery store).

There was nothing unusual about the storage area (other than it was part of someone’s residence), but the wild animal exhibit…ehehehe…

It had hyenas. And other animals, like parrots. There was also a path that led to the storage area, going right through the exhibit (which was a shortcut from the kitchen). You could also buy meat like frozen spare ribs from the butcher there (either to give to the hyenas or to take home for dinner…). Just to increase the nightmarish aspect a bit, there were also animal parts from herbivores who were unlucky enough to get too close to the hyenas. There weren’t just body parts. There were chunks of body parts (ex. a part of a parrot head). X_x I only went in there to see if I could find my stuff there. Whenever I was in there, I always bought meat and ended up having to give them to the hyenas so they wouldn’t come after ME. O_O

Pretty much the only reason why I was so bent on finding my grad gear was so I could actually walk in the ceremony and if I couldn’t do that, I wouldn’t be able to graduate. Then I would have to wait a whole ‘nother year until I could finish school. :O (Even IRL, I would still be able to get my diploma, even if I wasn’t present at the ceremony ^^;)
