It took me a reeeeally long time to figure out what music I like, and I’ve decided I’m really into movie soundtrack-like music (called trailer music or epic music). Most of these aren’t made by normal music artists. They’re from music production companies (folks who make stock music for movie trailers or commercials). A lot of what’s listed here are either fast-paced and gritty or have a mystical/ethereal vibe (bonus points if all of the above), and 9/10 don’t feature any lyrics (though they might have vocalizations–people “ahhhhh”-ing for parts of the song).

Pentatonix – God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
FYI, I first heard this on Apple Music, but saw it being used in a new Grinch remake (featuring Benedict Cumberbatch). The scene it was used in: I love this song, and I like Christmas, but that would’ve scared the crap out of me if I were the Grinch. đŽâđ¨
